Review: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison--even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive. Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

Lets start with the fact that Marissa Meyer once again did it, she wrote an amazing book, action packed, funny, and so much more it is just so good, even heartbreaking moments. If you haven't read this yet, i dont know why you are here and not reading this series.

In this book we follow Scarlet AND Cinder, like we dont only get from scarlet but cinder as well, yay cinder. just like the first book it is written in second person.

As the first book, this one has some pretty intense biting nail, screaming "no's" and gasping moments. This series is just an emotional ride, and a really good one i must say. I cant say much about this book without spoiling the first book but oh well, I'm doing my best.

My favorite part might be all the action thrilling moments where i just couldn't stop reading and kept biting my nail, this is a really fast paced book and you dont even notice you finished it you are just like "no, i want more, i need more." And that makes this book great my friends.

Great story great characters, really really loved it and can't wait to start the third book in the series.

GO READ THIS SERIES NOW AND THANK ME LATER.

I gave this book ★★★★★ on Goodreads.

Review: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Mara Dyer believes life can't get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed.
There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
She's wrong.

This book was for the most part really good for me, I was captivated through the whole book plotting theories trying to figure out what is going on, trying to guess whats true or not. and i must admit i gasped a lot of times.

The story follows Mara obviously and she just wants answers and through the whole book You , he reader, and her will try to figure out what happened or what is happening.

What I really love about this book is that the one who tells the story, Mara, is not a reliable source, because not even she knows what is going on and that leaves you so confused and wanting some answers.

What did not work for me were the answers, The author could have done so much more but unfortunately it did not match my imagination or theories, maybe that is what disappointed me, but still it was pretty good.

In the next book i hope there is less cheesy stuff, in crucial moments the characters would start getting all romantic and it really just wasn't the time for that.

I would recommend this story to anyone, its a fun read and will leave you gasping more and more and so confused and sometimes even terrified.

I gave this book ★★★★ on Goodreads

Review: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin. Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another.

Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

The hype around this book is well deserved, this story is AMAZING the mystery of finding out who the killer is, keeps you reading and you can't stop. This book is just amazing i really enjoyed it.
As you can see this story is mainly centered around Celaena Sardothien, but it is told in second person and sometimes tells about other characters in the story as well. I really liked the writing of Sarah J. Maas and how she set the mystery in a way that you really want to keep reading.

Celaena is just SO badass and so sassy, her sass is just so great and funny, sometimes i admit i ended up laughing my ass off because of her sass. And besides that, she is just amazing and so skilled and just overall great.

The prince.. well what can i say, i dont like the prince at all and not liked how that turned out for the most part of the book, so arrogant ugh.

Chaol chaol chaol, that is who i want, he is just great and amazing just as badass as Calaena but yet sweet and kind and sensitive.

Nehemia is my favorite after all because she is so amazing and so badass, i know I have used the word badass a lot but that word pretty much describes this book. Nehemia is so cool though and i really enjoyed everything she did and how she did it.

My favorite part of this book would be every time Celaena gets to say a sassy comeback AH its just so great.

In the next book Crown of Midnight, I REALLY HOPE that Celaena's mind changes and well if you've read this you know what i mean. but i have heard that the books get better every time, so i guess that is good and will be fun, I am really looking forward to reading more of this AMAZING story.

I realize just now that this is my first high-fantasy book I have read, so hooray for me :] I am so glad i really enjoyed it, i will definitely be picking up more books of this genre in the future, i don't even know why i was scared to try it out.

I really recommend this book to anyone and specially o those who have not read anything yet high fantasy related because this book is great and will really make you appreciate this genre like it did with me.

★★★★★ [4.5] on Goodreads.

Update

Hello everyone!
I know that another update might be boring and not interesting for any of you but I figured I'd let you guys know what is happening lately.

I have just finished exams at school, in that time I got sick and got a virus and well now im sick. But I have days off school and ill try to read a lot these days.

I started reading Throne of Glass to get out of my reading slump (which I managed to do) so as soon as I finish a review will be coming up and more books to read :)

As to my blogging device, I have been blogging on my phone for a few months now and it is really uncomfortable.  But I finally got my computer fixed,  the only current problem is the wifi antenna but I will try to get that fixed as soon as possible.

Ive been working on a few posts where you guys can learn more about myself and other things I like.

That was my update. Till next time! And keep reading :)
