Waiting on Wednesday #1

Synopsis :
I am tired of being used, hurt, and cast aside.

Adelina Amouteru is a survivor of the blood fever. A decade ago, the deadly illness swept through her nation. Most of the infected perished, while many of the children who survived were left with strange markings. Adelina’s black hair turned silver, her lashes went pale, and now she has only a jagged scar where her left eye once was. Her cruel father believes she is a malfetto, an abomination, ruining their family’s good name and standing in the way of their fortune. But some of the fever’s survivors are rumored to possess more than just scars—they are believed to have mysterious and powerful gifts, and though their identities remain secret, they have come to be called the Young Elites.

Teren Santoro works for the king. As Leader of the Inquisition Axis, it is his job to seek out the Young Elites, to destroy them before they destroy the nation. He believes the Young Elites to be dangerous and vengeful, but it’s Teren who may possess the darkest secret of all.

Enzo Valenciano is a member of the Dagger Society. This secret sect of Young Elites seeks out others like them before the Inquisition Axis can. But when the Daggers find Adelina, they discover someone with powers like they’ve never seen.

Adelina wants to believe Enzo is on her side, and that Teren is the true enemy. But the lives of these three will collide in unexpected ways, as each fights a very different and personal battle. But of one thing they are all certain: Adelina has abilities that shouldn’t belong in this world. A vengeful blackness in her heart. And a desire to destroy all who dare to cross her.

It is my turn to use. My turn to hurt.

Yes guys my first Waiting on Wednesday.  I actually wrote this all Tuesday last night but it didn't save unfortunately. So here I am at school typing this.

The Young Elites by Marie Lu is a (I believe this is the right term to use) high fantasy YA book coming out on October 7th if im not wrong. I have heard really great things about Marie Lu specially because of the legend trilogy. Which I haven't even read yet because well you know there's that thing when you have no money. And then you forget about the book and stuff.

A lot of people like Marie Lu because of her writing style as well. I hope I get to like her as well just like everyone has.

I dont know that much about this book but thats how I like to read books, without knowing much about them. I think thats how you enjoy it even more.
This is my first high fantasy book. Because well I've never read any book in that genre before. Im just scared that the first one I read will be bad for me and that I'll end up being put off on that genre.

I found out about this book thanks to Reagan from Peruseproject on YouTube and I got excited about it because well Reagan can make you excited about almost anything.  I also saw that Jesse (Jessethereader) was really excited about it in his last book haul.
This is what I do the whole day I see people talking about books and then I want them.

I have a lot of high expectations for this book and I hope that it will be great. So go get this book as soon as it comes out!

Till next time and Happy reading!  :)

On my shelf #5

Jonas's world is perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain. There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community. When Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to receive special training from The Giver. The Giver alone holds the memories of the true pain and pleasure of life. Now, it is time for Jonas to receive the truth. There is no turning back.

Yes guys The Giver! I got this book some weeks before the movie release because I really wanted to read it and then watch the movie but school had me so busy and then the plan was to watch the premiere first.

Turns out that we ended up watching 'Lets be cops' instead and I decided to read this book sometime in October's holidays and right after I will read if I stay.

On my shelf #4

These are books on my shelves (E-books as well) that I haven't started reading yet.

Samantha is a stranger in her own life. Until the night she disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, everyone said Sam had it all-popularity, wealth, and a dream boyfriend.

Sam has resurfaced, but she has no recollection of who she was or what happened to her that night. As she tries to piece together her life from before, she realizes it's one she no longer wants any part of. The old Sam took "mean girl" to a whole new level, and it's clear she and Cassie were more like best enemies. Sam is pretty sure that losing her memories is like winning the lottery. She's getting a second chance at being a better daughter, sister, and friend, and she's falling hard for Carson Ortiz, a boy who has always looked out for her-even if the old Sam treated him like trash.

But Cassie is still missing, and the facts about what happened to her that night isn't just buried deep inside of Sam's memory-someone else knows, someone who wants to make sure Sam stays quiet. All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on. But what if not remembering is the only thing keeping Sam alive?

This book sounds A-MA-ZING I saw it on I think Reagan (peruseproject on youtube) talk about it and I have been wanting to read it ever since.

I forgot the name of the book and I think ive spent more than 2 months searching for it. And now I FINALLY HAVE IT.

This is going to be my next read probably.

If you have any comments on the book let me know :)

Review: Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins.

Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in at the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn for the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength and lethal fighting instincts.

Just when life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy and possibly Harper's least favorite person. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him—and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.

With snappy banter, cotillion dresses, non-stop action and a touch of magic, this new young adult series from bestseller Rachel Hawkins is going to make y'all beg for more.

Let me just say this is one of the few books that made me laugh ut loud not even like a smile or a little laugh but laugh and fall off my bed.
This plot is not slow but it keeps you laughing and on the edge of your seat. Yes like a movie. Full action packed and really funny.
Its told by Harper Price and her sense of humor is just great.

Theres definitely some character growth going on in the book so if you like that. This book has it.

(spoiler alert) I did expect the love triangle.

But this book was overall amazing and kick-ass and action packed and funny I habe no words to describe how great of a book Rachel Hawkins wrote.

This is a must read for everyone.
